Administration

Each member of the Administration team aims to provide friendly, effective and accurate administrative services. This includes welcoming visitors and helping members and dealing with queries, and updating the parish roll as well as all the usual administration services. Team members also make the arrangements for church conferences and workshops. as well as providing administrative support for ministry team members, especially those in the parish office.
 

Finance

The finances of the parish are to be used responsibly to do God’s work. The Parish Administrator keeps accurate records of receipts and expenditure and provides accurate financial records for the Finance & Property Committee and Parish Council. Additionally, the Parish Administrator keeps an up to date cash flow forecast, pays invoices on time, provides financial statements for the end of the year for submission to the Diocese and the auditor and keeps a watch on expenses and alerts budget holders when expenditure is likely to exceeded budget. The Parish Administrator also keeps the asset register and financial documents (such as loan agreements) up to date.

 
Building Maintenance
Church buildings are to be kept in good condition and provide attractive and useful venues for both members and church activities. The Parish Administrator, in conjunction with the Wardens provides an ongoing review of the buildings with regard to maintenance and to arrange for suitable suppliers to provide quotes and keep an eye on the work that is done. A long term budget for building maintenance is kept up to date, the first year of which is included in the current budget.
 
Gardens
The gardens of the church campus are an asset to church members and provide a welcoming place for both solitude and sport. In consultation with the Environment Committee, The Parish Administrator and Caretaker maintain the gardens and plant indigenous plants/ trees according to parish policy.
